A swimming pool is a favorite luxury for most homeowner’s but most of them do not know the great responsibility of maintaining a pool. Constructing a pool is not as easy as it might seem, particularly if you do not have the right tools and equipments. Planning and constructing a swimming pool can be a very demanding job for someone who is not experienced in that field, thus you need the professional help of Midwestern Construction to take over your pool project. When constructing a pool, there are a good number of processes you must successfully go through for your project to be complete. Here are some of the steps we at Midwestern Construction will undertake on your behalf:
Project proposal and design
The first step that you as a client will do before your project gets underway is to meet with one of our design expert. During this meeting, our designer will get to know what ideas you have for the pool and if they are applicable. Our designer will survey the land and later come up with a full construction plan and the amount it would cost.
Permits and approvals
A key advantage in hiring our pool services is that we acquire construction permits for the pool and decking for our clients. Since all pool construction plans must adhere to the local and state building codes, we ensure we abide by that and even call for all the applicable inspections on your behalf such as plumbing and electrical work.
When all forms are signed, we can now begin the excavation process. During the excavation phase, we use state-of-the-art machinery to accurately trim back the pool walls. We also do it in a way to create added space for people to move about the pool freely.
Pool floor installation
The floor of the pool is made from concrete and should have a minimum thickness of about six inches. We make the pool walls from gunite, which is a mixture of cement and sand and then apply it with a hose full of pressurized air to achieve the required compressive strength. We have years of experience when it comes to pool floor installation.
Tile and coping
After we are done with the gunite process, we ask our clients to choose any decorative tile design for the pool. At Midwestern Construction, we have a wide array of decorative tiles that you can choose from. Our tiles also come in different shapes, colors, textures, and materials that can be used for your project. We always have something unique to accommodate your taste and preferences.
The steps mentioned above are barely a half of the task we do to build you your dream pool. There are a lot of other duties that need to go hand in hand for us to successfully complete your project. Other than the fact that we are an experienced contractor that aims at giving the best services to our clients, there are plenty more reasons why you should hire us to build your pool.
